What to expect

Your first appointment is all about getting to know you and understanding what matters most. We’ll talk about your current situation, the challenges you’re facing, what you’d like to achieve, and what you or your family hope will be different over the next six or twelve months. From there, we’ll complete an assessment based on your individual needs and develop an exercise program that is practical, achievable and easy to maintain.

We offer both gym-based exercise and hydrotherapy, giving you the flexibility to choose the environment that best suits your needs and goals. Hydrotherapy can be a great option for people experiencing joint pain, reduced mobility, balance concerns or difficulty exercising on land, while gym-based exercise can be ideal for building strength, fitness, confidence and independence. For some participants, a combination of both works best. We’ll discuss the options with you and adjust your program as your abilities and confidence change.

Our small group sessions are a great option for people who enjoy exercising alongside others, or who want to make their plan funding go further while still receiving guidance and supervision from an Exercise Physiologist. We also work closely with support coordinators, plan managers, families, support workers and your wider therapy team to make sure your exercise program complements the rest of your support.

How we work with NDIS participants

We work with you towards your Improved Daily Living and Improved Health and Wellbeing goals, alongside a team that takes the time to understand your disability, listens to what matters to you, and works with you rather than at you.

What we offer
  • One-to-one sessions, gym or pool based. Gym sessions for strength, coordination and capacity building. Hydrotherapy for participants who find land-based exercise painful, fatiguing or difficult to load.
  • Small NDIS group classes. A handful of participants per class, so you still get hands-on attention while sharing the session with others working towards similar goals.
  • Self Funded and Plan Managed welcome. We work with both. We handle the service agreements and invoicing so it stays simple at your end.
  • All ages, wide range of needs. From paediatric clients building fundamental movement skills, through to adults and older participants living with neurological conditions and complex physical disability.
  • Goal focused from day one. Sessions target the things that matter day to day: strength, balance, walking, transfers, endurance, coordination, confidence and community participation.
  • Reports when you need them. We provide clear progress reports and recommendations to support your plan reviews.
